It’s currently raining out..almost midnight…and I have my last load of laundry in the washer…my whites to be exact. I am highly anxious to be officially done with laundry…well for a couple of days at least.
While waiting for my eternity of laundry to be done, definitely had my mind wondering about our near future trip to Hawaii for two weeks in April. What seems to be boggling my mind is the amount of time we are in the air. I mean…I have been there several times in the past, it’s been close to ten years! But this is Sophia’s first trip to Hawaii. She does really well traveling whether it be by car or plane…except this is going to be the longest trip confined in a small space for an exceptional long period of time.
Let me say…she always did really well flying in the past, but the longest amount of air time was about 2 hours max. Not a total of about 13 flying hours.
Mama is worried!
I plan on bringing some of her toys…her iPad…but I would love some suggestions on movies or games that I should download for her.
I am totally open to any other entertainment suggestion that is 2 and a half year of age appropriate of course!
Here I am about 8 years ago in Hawaii. I remember taking this photo…I was waiting for everyone to get ready to go out. My mom always made me go to the room about 45 minutes before everyone else so I could get ready. She said I took to long….*Probably still thinks that*
Sophia has been in KDO for about a month now and absolutely loves it. Which I am totally grateful for. I am happy that she is not one of those kids that cry for their parents as the drop them of. Le me tell ya..if that was Sophia should wouldn’t be going. I don’t think I could walk away from her crying especially calling my name and reaching for me. They say they stop once you leave, but from my experience not so much.
Do you have any lunch suggestions? Sophia loves her vegetables! She is not a picket eater by any means.
But how can I make her lunch more fun and healthy without looking like an ad for your basic food groups?
If you have not tried Starbucks Strawberry Refresher with Coconut Milk in replace of water…Go. Do. It! It kind of tastes like candy…but not toothache sweet…but it’s tangy.
Reminds me of summer!
Isn’t this just the cutest? I would so have one in my backyard!
A must have plant in my house is an Aloe plant. I can’t tell you how many times I have burnt my hands from taking items out of the oven…grease spitting at you…or even grabbing the wrong part of my hair straightener.
Aloe works on everything! Go get yourself an Aloe plant and help yourself out!
Okay so this is probably the creepiest thing I will ever write on here, but I am a huge fan of Kate from The Small Things Blog, she is my favorite blogger out there. Last week she was going live on Instagram and I did a screen shot of her…no I don’t have a Kate shrine…I’m not a weirdo..but…
I love her haircut! I am considering cutting my hair this length before Hawaii. I wanted to take this photo to my hairdresser to show her the cut I like.
I am such a creature of habit.
The thing is I grew my hair out from in inverted bob back in December 2015 it took a good 9 months. My hair is about to the middle of my back, but I constantly wear it pulled up in a messy bun. I think I need a change again…not as dramatic as a inverted bob but something a little bit more fun. A little shorter but not short. Plus, I am been getting headaches because my hair is so long and heavy..
I am so indecisive.
Kate if by any chance you read my blog..sorry for the creeper screen shot of you!
Even when I am feeling like total crap, this little girl brightens up my day and always puts a smile on my face. I love you Sophia! I have a great weekend with you!
I hope your weekend was a great one!
