Naan Flatbread Lunch

I have been hitting the gym on an every other day basis the past two weeks, considering I have only been a gym member for two weeks. After about an hour work out I find myself starving as if I have not eaten all day. I am really into Naan flatbread, if you have never tried it before I highly recommend it! So, I have been into this open face sandwich concept for quite sometime, and the best part with Naan flatbread it leaves a lot of room for experimenting! Here is what I had for lunch today:

Recipe:

1 Medium size of Naan Flatbread

1/2 Can of Tuna (in water or oil)

1 Β Onion chopped (I used a small amount this all depends on how much you want)

1 tsp. Helemans Mayo

2 Pieces of Fresh Mozzarella

1/2 Vine Tomato

Salt & Pepper to taste

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit
  2. Drain your tuna
  3. Mix together your tuna, chopped onion,
  4. Assembly: Naan Flatbread, Tuna, Tomato, Mozzarella and then your salt and pepper.
  5. Place in oven on a cookie tray lined with foil
  6. Bake for about ten minutes until the Mozzarella has melted to you liking.

Fresh Mozzarella! I could not resist eating the other two pieces that I did not use on my flatbread while it was in the oven!

When tomatoes are not in season I have the tendency to buy the tomatoes that are on the vine at my local grocery store rather than the tomatoes that are not on the vine. The vine tomatoes seem to have more flavor.
