Welcome back! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday weekend. Three day weekends always go way to fast, but that usually means you’re having fun as they always say “time flies when you’re having fun.”
My mom always has her annual 4th of July party. That is like her party, everyone always looks forward to them every year. By the end of the night there is always a story to tell. We always set off our own fireworks, one year we were setting them off and one single firework flew into our box of fireworks worth about 200 dollars. Well, needless to say they all starting going off. People were running in every direction..fireballs were flying all around us. It looked like a war zone because the house was filled with black smoke. A friend of mine was driving through the housing plan and saw all this black smoke from a distance and she said “it has to be the monroe’s.” Thankfully no one was hurt, but every year it is always mentioned. Now we laugh about it.
What is this you may ask? Well, this years story we were stilling around talking after the fireworks were over. My nephew comes over and says “ah Papp your tree is on fire..” thankfully it wasn’t a large fire. Do you think that is going to stop us from using fireworks next year? Probably not.
